Emo Gurram Egara Vachu (EGEV) is developed by Madan (writer-director of Pellaina Kothalo) and commanded by Chandra Siddhartha (who also instructed Aa Nalaguru, Andhari Bandhuvayya, Madhumasam, and Idhi Sangathi). Sumanth and Chandra Siddhartha had proven helpful with each other in Madhumasam (2007).

Sumanth's co-star is Pinky Savika who is a Chinese movie star and generates her first overall look in Tamil movies.
